Sincan Şehit Abdullah Büyüksoy Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi hosts successful two Multiplier Events

The Sincan Şehit Abdullah Büyüksoy Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi in Ankara, Turkey, recently organized two significant multiplier events, demonstrating its commitment to advancing education and fostering international collaboration.

The first event, held on February 7, 2024, took place virtually via Zoom and attracted 30 teachers from various cities across Turkey. The agenda for the online gathering was meticulously planned, including an opening speech, an overview of the project, discussions on work packages and their outcomes, as well as the unveiling of Open Educational Resources (OER) such as Literature Reviews and Lesson Plans. The session also provided an opportunity for participants to engage in a lively Questions & Answers session regarding the project and gain insights into the Erasmus+ program. The event, which was promoted through the center’s network, saw active participation from over 30 educators, underscoring the widespread interest in the initiative.

Following the successful online event, the center organized a comprehensive two-day Teacher’s Training on February 12th and 13th. With the endorsement of the Local Educational Board in Sincan, 40 teachers were officially invited to participate in the training sessions. However, the event exceeded expectations as 45 teachers from the region enthusiastically joined. The training program aimed to equip educators with the necessary skills to implement four of the center’s meticulously crafted lesson plans. Participants were immersed in the project’s objectives, introduced to the OER materials, and received training on Erasmus Programs, gaining valuable insights into KA210 and KA220 Projects. As a token of appreciation for their commitment, all attending teachers were awarded participation certificates. The Local Educational Board was also invited to the closing ceremony, emphasizing the collaborative spirit between the center and the education authorities.

At the conclusion of the training, participants were invited to provide feedback through a survey. The overwhelming majority expressed satisfaction with the program, highlighting the value gained from the training sessions. The success of both events underscores the Sincan Şehit Abdullah Büyüksoy Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi’s dedication to promoting excellence in education and fostering professional development opportunities for educators.

These multiplier events not only contribute to the advancement of education locally but also strengthen ties within the international educational community, positioning the center as a hub for innovation and collaboration in Ankara, Turkey.
